KasPaws respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices and rights you may have regarding your information when you use KasPaws, including our website, applications, communications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

KasPaws is a pet care marketplace and business-management platform that helps pet parents connect with pet professionals, manage bookings, communicate, process payments, and participate in related services such as pet alerts.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information. When you create or use a KasPaws account, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.

B. Profile Information. Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect profile details such as your role on the Platform, profile photo, biography, business details, sitter availability, service settings, pricing, and related account configuration information.

C. Pet and Care Information. We may collect information about pets and care needs, including pet names, breeds, ages, weights, temperaments, routines, feeding instructions, medical notes, medication details, vaccination records, photos, and other information you choose to provide to support safe care.

D. Booking and Transaction Information. We collect information related to bookings and service activity, including service type, dates, times, pricing, discounts, booking status, payment status, transaction history, and related operational details. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. KasPaws does not store full payment card numbers.

E. Communications. We collect and store communications sent through the Platform, including messages between pet parents and pet professionals, customer support communications, and service-related notifications.

F. Device, Log, and Usage Information. We may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, referring URLs, approximate geolocation derived from IP, pages viewed, features used, session data, crash data, and other diagnostic or analytics information.

G. Location Information. With your permission or as enabled through your device settings, we may collect approximate or precise location information to support location-based services such as matching pet parents with nearby sitters, service-area functionality, and pet alert features.

H. Cookies and Similar Technologies. We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, session technologies, and similar tools to support authentication, security, preferences, analytics, performance, and core platform functionality.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
  • provide the Platform and its features;
  • create and display profiles;
  • match pet parents and pet professionals;
  • manage bookings, scheduling, availability, and service activity;
  • process transactions and maintain financial records;
  • enable messaging and service coordination;
  • send transactional notifications by email and SMS;
  • provide pet alert functionality and related network notifications;
  • support business-management tools for pet professionals;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, and policy violations;
  • troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Platform;
  • conduct analytics, product development, and performance monitoring;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies and agreements.

We may also use information in aggregated or de-identified form for analytics, product improvement, and business operations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

A. Between Users. When you use the Platform to book, accept, manage, or perform services, relevant information may be shared between the involved parties so they can coordinate care and fulfill the service. Depending on the context, this may include names, profile information, pet information, service details, booking details, messaging content, and location or address information when necessary for the service.

B. With Service Providers. We share information with service providers that help us operate the Platform, such as providers for payments, authentication, communications, analytics, infrastructure, hosting, mapping, support, and security. Examples may include Stripe, Twilio, Supabase, Mapbox, cloud infrastructure providers, and related vendors. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform services for KasPaws and are required to protect that information.

C. For Legal, Safety, and Enforcement Reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to: comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, or government request; enforce our agreements, policies, or terms; detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, safety, property, or operations of KasPaws, our users, or others.

D. In Business Transfers. If KasPaws is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

E. With Your Direction or Consent. We may share information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.

4. SMS / Text Messaging Communications

Program Name. KasPaws Transactional Alerts

KasPaws sends transactional SMS messages related to account access, platform operations, bookings, communications, and pet alert functionality. KasPaws does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages under this program.

Types of Messages. Messages may include: account verification codes and login-related messages; booking confirmations, updates, changes, and reminders; sitter and pet parent communication notifications; pet alert notifications; sitter invitation or onboarding-related transactional messages; and other service-related operational notices tied to your use of KasPaws.

How Users Provide Consent. Users provide consent to receive transactional SMS messages by entering their phone number and continuing through an account registration, login, verification, booking-related, invitation, or pet-alert-related flow on the KasPaws Platform. At the point of entry, users are shown a disclosure stating that by continuing, they agree to receive transactional SMS messages from KasPaws, including account verification codes, booking updates, messages, and pet alerts; that message frequency varies; that message and data rates may apply; and that users can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on user activity, account events, booking activity, alerts, and platform usage. Some users may receive multiple transactional messages in a week depending on activity.

Message and Data Rates. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan.

Opt-Out. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any KasPaws message. After opting out, you may receive a final confirmation message. Opting out may limit your ability to use features that rely on phone-based verification or SMS delivery.

Consent Not Required for Purchase. Consent to receive transactional SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase.

KasPaws does not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for value phone numbers or SMS-related personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely to provide the transactional messages described in this policy and to support KasPaws operations.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

KasPaws uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Platform. These may include:

  • Session Cookies to keep users logged in and maintain authentication state;
  • Preference Cookies to remember settings and selections;
  • Analytics Technologies to measure usage, performance, and feature adoption;
  • Security Technologies to help detect suspicious activity and protect accounts.

You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

6. Data Security

KasPaws uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encrypted transmission, secure authentication controls, access restrictions, vendor controls, logging, and infrastructure monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, maintain accounts, process transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business needs. Some information may remain in backup systems, legal archives, fraud-prevention systems, or aggregated/de-identified datasets for longer periods where permitted by law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

  • Access to the information we hold about you;
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Deletion of certain information, subject to legal and operational requirements;
  • Opt-Out of SMS by replying STOP;
  • Data Portability where applicable;
  • Control of Notifications and Preferences through account settings, where available.

9. Children's Privacy

KasPaws is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information in violation of this policy, we may take steps to delete that information.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, websites, or tools. These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and KasPaws is not responsible for their independent privacy or security practices.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice through the Platform, by email, or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
